The Door County Beekeepers Club annually hosts the DCBC Community Honey Harvest. The event presents interactive activities and demonstrations for all ages, with support from Crossroads at Big Creek, the Door County Master Gardeners Association, Wild Ones, and the Seed Library.
Attendees enjoy educational stations set up at the Collins Learning Center, an observation hive with a glass window, children’s activities (pet a live drone (male) honeybee), demonstrations featuring honeybee products and the honey extraction process.
Information about the The Wayne Stenzel Memorial Scholarship program is also presented at the Honey Harvest.
